Page views

The pages of this site load the Umami script from this site and send each view to stats.openkrill.app. Umami is an open-source analytics service we run on our own server, not a third party. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, honours the browser's Do Not Track setting and Global Privacy Control, and records only the page path and title, the utm_ campaign tags of the link you followed (never the rest of the query string or the part after #), the referring site, the browser, operating system and device type, the screen size, the language, and the country, region and city looked up from the network address. Umami keeps no network address: it derives a visit id from a one-way hash that changes every month, so a visitor cannot be followed from one month to the next.

To opt out, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser: either one stops the page from loading the script, so no view is sent. Blocking stats.openkrill.app does the same.

Your account

If you sign up, we keep your email address to send sign-in links, a hash of each API key, your credit balance and payments, and a record of each API call (endpoint, credits, status and time) for your dashboard and billing. Signing in sets one session cookie, used only to keep you signed in to the dashboard. To stop abuse, sign-in requests are counted per network address for 15 minutes, then the count is dropped.
